Busy doin’ stuff

All in all it has been busy…ah……let’s see. Last weekend I ended up in some club not far from our place until 7 or so in the morning. That was Saturday night. Sunday was spent very, very chilled.

The weekend before that was in Switzerland with the family, strangely enough there was a bit of a heat wave and I was sunburnt. I guess I’ll never learn.

The weekend before that one was rather large also, went to an outdoor party at Schillings Brücke in the day and then to Spindler & Klatt in the evening where a couple of friends were playing a live gig. Was meant to go to a aprty on Sunday but I was fucked and couldn’t make it. Saturday really took it out of me!!

The weekend before that started on Thursday, which is typically not a goo place to start the weekend as age catches up on me, but hey. Friday is a bit of a blur, can’t quite remember what I got up to but on Saturday night we went to a play in which one of our friends plays a part, was really good. We then went to his bithday party back at his place but by this time I was feeling like death!! Stayed for an hour and had to go. Sunday I lazed around until I could motivate myself to go to Sunday Adventure Club which was quite full on, it was a day/night thing which I ended up leaving at around 2am. Really wondering now what I did on Friday, oh well.

Next weekend I’m off to Holland for yet another party Extrema sold out of 35,000 tickets so it should be a big one. Will report back!!

Doing well otherwise, not really sleeping all too well, going to see a doctor about that pretty soon. Take care peoples.

Hmmm OK

So, here I am again. Back at work, started at 10am…………way too early when you only get to bed at 5am. On top of that, I forgot that it was the Berlin marathon today and since I live in Friedrichshain and work in Charlottenburg it meant that no bus would send me over this way. None, like, they weren’t running!! Jumped in a cab and he said no go, got in another and he was up for the challenge. Nice enough guy, we chatted away in my shit (but improving :? ) German and ended up getting very close to the final destination. Made it to work, though unfortunately 8 minutes late. Thank God my place isn’t like Ina’s employment with Lufthansa cause she would be liable to lose her job for that amount of lateness!!

Anyway, Mount Sims was cool. Pity he wasn’t playing live though, I mean, he’s a good DJ but I would have preferred to hear his stuff live. Raumklang is a nice little club too, just not too sure about the people that go there. In a way, kinda reminds me of the Icebox back in the day in Kings Cross. It must be tricky when you have a nice club and organise good events but only wankers turn up. How do you stop it and get the kinda crowd you want in there? I have no idea……………….

Better get back to work though, wish I could sleep, that would be nice.

Oh, and yes, this is NOT the final look for my site, I am still working on it. OK!!

Inspiring the Uninspired

Hope everyone’s Christmas and New Year was great, I’d love to say I had a fantastic one but the reality of the situation is that I didn’t. In a way I guess there’s just too much hype surrounding the whole festive season. We went out on the Friday night prior to New Years Eve to see Miss Kittin at Panorama Bar and I’ve gotta say I had a great night; which was partially responsible for my average New Years. My recovery time these days is just completely off the richter scale, we left Panorama at about 10.30am on Sat morning and as soon as I got home I crashed only to wake up later that afternoon to feel deathly ill. The illness stayed with me pretty much until (and throughout) New Years Eve which kinda sucked. We went to a friends house party first and then onto another friends and then onto a massive warehouse party called??? can’t remember but it doesn’t really matter. It probably would’ve been a good party had I not felt slightly queasy and tired but there you go, ended up leaving at about 7.30 in the morning to mission back home and again crash. Not a very inspiring evening but I guess you can’t win em’ all.

Even more uninspiring is the winter here, for the whole of winter so far it’s only snowed once, can you believe it? So all we get is darkness from 4pm onwards and that’s it, how depressing.

I think I’m going to overuse a word in this entry and that word is: inspired/uninspired. I just seem to have little (or no) inspiration to do anything lately apart from dragging my ass into work. I haven’t done a German lesson in ages, can hardly bring myself to working on any music and am just feeling generally apathetic. I guess it could just be the weather but I don’t think so, I think it’s more likely a combination of things just getting me down. I hate it when I’m like this. Maybe I just put too much love and effort into things and rarely get any back and my tanks running on empty or something……..who knows! or maybe it’s the weather and my alienated state due to the fact I’m living in a country where I don’t fully understand the language, maybe it’s just thoughtless fuckers who have little consideration toward other peoples feelings and leach away giving little if nothing back or maybe it’s just that I miss my friends and feel more alone when sitting at a table with friends here than I ever have before. Either way I’m completely and wholeheartedly uninspired :(

Anyways, weekend off, I think it’s time to chill. I may just work up enough inspiration to drink a beer and watch mtv or something. Until next time peeps…………… ;-)
